Mercat de Forada

Mercat de Forada is a local produce market situated between San Rafael and Santa Ines. Drop by on Saturdays between 10am and 4pm to browse a selection of artisan wines and liquors, as well as locally grown vegetables, freshly baked breads and cakes, through to natural medicines and remedies. Live music will also keep you entertained, alongside a range of art, sculptures and ceramics that are curated by the local community.

Ecological Food Market, San José

Wander into the charming village of San José on a Saturday morning and you will stumble across an exciting little ecological food market that offers a wide range of fruits, vegetables and home-baked goods including pastries, breads and cakes. Take part in one of the weekly workshops that will advise on the best ways to help our environment, or treat yourself to a lunch at one of the town’s boutique little restaurants, which many of which offer an ecological menu del dia to continue their theme.

San Juan Market

Head up to the north of the island for unique treasures and trinkets at the island gem known as San Juan market. Offering a wide range of locally made foods and drink, you can also find eco-friendly toiletries and independent artwork.  Ponder at your own leisurely pace with a backdrop of live music and entertainment aimed for all ages. The eclectic market has a mix of alternate goodies, like bespoke and customised clothing and provides an all-round buzzing atmosphere that is vibrant beginning till end. San Juan market runs each and every Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

Art & Mercat, San Antonio
New to the roster of island markets, Art & Mercat launched in San Antonio earlier this year and now consists of around 70 stalls with organic produce, as well as other offerings that help promote the traditions of the island. Here you will find a delicious selection of homegrown fruit and vegetables and you can search through authentic leather goods, handcrafted ceramics, pottery, arts and crafts. Head into the small little lanes of San Antonio’s old town and find this exciting oasis. The market is held in the evenings throughout the summertime, running from 18:00 to midnight and from 09:00 to 16:00 during the return to winter. Live music and kid’s areas are filled with entertainment and activities that make this a great one for the entire family to enjoy.
